【Summary】
In the next Science Café, I will present a report showing that disruption of epigenetic information is an important factor in aging.
The authors showed that disruption of epigenetic information induced by double-stranded DNA damage in vivo accelerates physiological aging.
They further showed that reprogramming using the Yamanaka factors can rewind the epigenetic clock, suggesting that aging can be reversibly controlled.
I would like to discuss a paper that attempts to provide a new definition of the aging process.
