今回のサイエンスカフェでは、ファイザー社によるコロナウイルス治療薬の開発の話題について提供したいと思います。パクスロビド（ニルマトレルビルとリトナビル合剤）投与群は偽薬を投与したグループに比べて、入院、死亡リスクを88%減少させたと報告されています。Pfizer社がどのように本化合物を見出したかをご紹介したく思います。
【Summary】
In the next Science Café, I would like to introduce the paper titled “An oral SARS-CoV-2 M pro inhibitor clinical candidate for the treatment of COVID-19”. PAXLOVID™ (combination of nirmatrelvir and ritonavir) reduced risk of hospitalization or death by 88% (within five days of symptom onset) compared to placebo. The discovery and characterization of PF-07321332 will be presented.
