【発表概要】
今回のサイエンスカフェでは、最近開発されたRNA塩基編集の技術、及びその応用の可能性についてお話したいと思います。前半では、最近報告されたRNA編集を誘導するシステムについて紹介し、後半では細胞機能研究や遺伝性疾患治療法開発への応用について紹介したいと思います。また、COVID-19におけるRNA編集についても触れたいと思います。
【Summary】
At this Science Café, I would like to talk about the recently developed technology of RNA base editing and the possibility of its application. In the first half, I will introduce the recently reported RNA editing systems, and in the second half, I will introduce their applications to cell function research and the development of therapies for genetic diseases. I would also like to discuss RNA editing in COVID -19.
