湘南アイパーク近郊の名所旧跡 (1) 江ノ島
新たに始めたこちらのミニコーナーでは、湘南アイパークの近郊にある名所旧跡をご紹介させていただきたいと思います。休日の気分転換に訪れるなど、みなさんのご参考になれば幸いです。
（左）大船駅からは大船モノレールで、藤沢駅からは小田急線かあるいは江ノ電に乗車して江ノ島最寄りの海岸へ。Tokyo 2020 オリンピックではセーリング競技も開催されました。（右）富士山と江の島、稲村ケ崎を望む。鎌倉・材木座海岸のほど近くにある和賀江島から撮影。和賀江島は鎌倉時代に造成された人工島で、現存する築港遺跡として日本最古のもの。江ノ島内にある岩屋洞窟（見学できます）と富士山は地下でつながっているとの伝説もあるそうです。
In this new mini-column, we would like to introduce you to some of the famous and historical sites near the Shonan iPark. We hope it will be helpful to you as you visit these places for refreshing yourself on your holidays.
(Left) From Ofuna Station, take the Ofuna Monorail; from Fujisawa Station, take the Odakyu Line or the Enoden Line to get to the nearest beach of Enoshima, where the sailing events were held during the Tokyo 2020 Olympics. (Right) View of Mt. Fuji, Enoshima and Inamura-gasaki from Wakaejima which is an artificial island created in the Kamakura period (1185-1333) and is the oldest surviving port site in Japan. Legend has it that the Iwaya Cave on Enoshima (which you can visit) is connected underground to Mt. Fuji.
