【発表概要】
今回のサイエンスカフェでは、昨年FDAでも初めて承認された糞便移植の話題について提供したいと思います。
糞便移植とは健康な人の便に含まれている腸内細菌を病気の患者さんに投与する治療法で、昨年11月に偽膜性腸炎（Clostridium difficile感染症）での適用で糞便移植が米国FDAにて初めて承認されました。その他の多くの疾患でも臨床試験が行われておりますが、今回は神経変性疾患であるprogressive supranuclear palsy-Richardson’s syndromeでの有効性についての論文が発表されましたので紹介します。
【Summary】
In the next Science Café, I will give the topic of fecal transplantation, which was first approved by the FDA last year.
Fecal transplantation is a treatment in which intestinal bacteria contained in the feces of healthy people are administered to patients. This treatment was first approved by FDA last November for the indication of pseudomembranous enteritis (Clostridium difficile infection). Clinical studies have been conducted for many other diseases as well. This time I will introduce a report about the efficacy in progressive supranuclear palsy-Richardson's syndrome, a neurodegenerative disease.
