【Summary】
The “Geroscience hypothesis” has been gathering attention these days, which considers aging as a risk factor for many diseases and aims to prevent or delay the onset of age-related diseases by manipulating aging process.
As part of the study, the Targeting Aging with Metformin (TAME) trial was planned and designed to test this hypothesis in humans.
This time, as an example of aging research, I will introduce a paper which showed a mechanism of age-related microglial impairment.
I would also like to show you some topics related to biomarkers that are important for connecting Geroscience knowledge to drug discovery.
